Description[ | ]

Industry The Industry research tree enables improvements to resource and weapons production, and banqueting .

Stone Quarrying[ | ]

Stone quarrying Stone Quarrying gives the player access to stone quarries, which are used to collect stone for the village stockpile. Further research increases the productivity of the stone quarries, and can be started from Rank 1; however, the first level is already completed when players begin the game.

Forestry[ | ]

Forestry Forestry gives the player access to woodcutters, which are used to collect wood for the village stockpile. Further research increases the productivity of the woodcutters, and can be started from Rank 1; however, the first level is already completed when players begin the game.

Tools[ | ]

Tools Tools decreases the cost of all buildings in a player’s village with each level of research. It also opens up the Iron Mining and Pitch Extraction branches of research. This research can be started at Rank 1.

Iron Mining[ | ]

Research ComesFrom Iron mining Iron Mining gives the player access to iron mines, which are used to collect iron for the village stockpile. Further research increases the productivity of the iron mines, and can be started at Rank 5, once Tools, Level 1 has been researched.

TIP: Iron mines require the Lowland, Highland or Mountain Peak village types in order to be placed. Please see the Village Table for more information.

Pitch Extraction[ | ]

Research ComesFrom Pitch extraction Pitch Extraction gives the player access to pitch rigs, which are used to collect pitch for the village stockpile. Further research increases the productivity of the pitch rigs, and can be researched at Rank 12, once Tools, Level 4 has been completed.

TIP: Pitch Rigs require Highland or Marsh village types to be placed. Please see the Village Table for more information.

Banqueting[ | ]

Craftsmanship Banqueting gives the player access to new banqueting resources, which allow the player hold progressively larger and grander banquets, and therefore, gain more honour. This research can be started at Rank 4, with each level of research requiring the player to be of a higher rank than at the previous level, and gives access to one new resource type per level.

Hunting[ | ]

Research ComesFrom Hunting Hunting gives the player access to hunters' huts, which are used to collect venison for the village hall, for use in banquets. Further research increases the productivity of the hunters' huts, and can be started at Rank 4.

Carpentry[ | ]

Research ComesFrom Carpentry Carpentry gives the player access to carpenters, which are used to make furniture for the village hall, for use in banquets. Further research increases the productivity of the carpenters, and can be started at Rank 6.

Metal Bashing[ | ]

Research ComesFrom Metal working Metal Bashing gives the player access to metalware workshops, which are used to make metalware for the village hall, for use in banquets. Further research increases the productivity of the workshops, and can be started at Rank 8.

Research ComesFrom Tailoring Tailoring gives the player access to tailors, which are used to make clothes for the village hall, for use in banquets. Further research increases the productivity of the tailors, and can be started at Rank 10.

Wine Production[ | ]

Research ComesFrom Wine production Wine Production gives the player access to vineyards, which are used to make wine for the village hall, for use in banquets. Further research increases the productivity of the vineyards, and can be started at Rank 12.

TIP: Vineyards require the Valley Side village type to be placed. Please see the Village Table for more information.

Salt Working[ | ]

Research ComesFrom Salt working Salt Working gives the player access to salt pans, which are used to collect salt for the village hall, for use in banquets. Further research increases the productivity of the salt pans, and can be started at Rank 14.

TIP: Please note that salt pans require the Salt Flats village type to be placed. Please see the Village Table for more information.

Spice Trade[ | ]

Research ComesFrom Spice trade Spice Trade gives the player access to spice docks, which are used to import spice for the village hall, for use in banquets. Further research increases the productivity of the spice docks, and can be started at Rank 15.

TIP: Spice docks require the River 1 village type to be placed. Please see the Village Table for more information.

Silk Trade[ | ]

Research ComesFrom Silk trade Silk Trade gives the player access to silk docks, which are used to import silk for the village hall, for use in banquets. Further research increases the productivity of the silk docks, and can be started at Rank 16.

TIP: Silk docks require the River 2 village type to be placed. Please see the Village Table for more information.

Weapon Making[ | ]

Weapon making Weapon Making gives the player access to weapons production. Further research increases the productivity of all weapon workshops, and opens up the Fletching, Armour Working, Poleturning, Black Smithing & Siege Mechanics branches of research. This research can be started at Rank 1.

Fletching[ | ]

Research ComesFrom Fletching Fletching gives the player access to fletchers, which are used to create bows from wood. Bows can be used to create archers in the village barracks. Further research increases the productivity of the fletchers, and can be started at Rank 6.

Armour Working[ | ]

Research ComesFrom Armour working Armour Working gives the player access to armour workshops, which are used to create armour from iron. Armour can be used to create pikemen and swordsmen in the village barracks. Further research increases the productivity of the workshops, and can be started at Rank 11.

Poleturning[ | ]

Research ComesFrom Pole turning Poleturning gives the player access to poleturners, which are used to create pikes from wood. Pikes can be used to create pikemen in the village barracks. Further research increases the productivity of the poleturners, and can be started at Rank 11.

Blacksmithing[ | ]

Research ComesFrom Blacksmithing Blacksmithing gives the player access to blacksmiths, which are used to create swords from iron. Swords can be used to create swordsmen in the village barracks. Further research increases the productivity of the blacksmiths, and can be started at Rank 13.

Siege Mechanics[ | ]

Research ComesFrom Siege mechanics Siege Mechanics gives the player access to siege workshops, which are used to create catapults from wood and stone. Catapults can be used to create catapults in the village barracks. Further research increases the productivity of the workshops, and can be started at Rank 15.
