Island War

Island Warfare is a special world featuring a new system when all inter-island travel is affected by the Sea conditions.

Conditions can change daily with heavy storms and strong tailwinds either slowing or accelerating the progress of monks, trades, attacks and scouts as they move between islands. This type of Icon Motion indicates that your units are moving between Islands and are affected by the current Sea conditions.

Sea conditions are distinct from existing in-game weather events such as droughts and heatwaves. These still exist on Island Warfare, behaving as they would on regular game worlds.

Sea Conditions[ | ]

Depending on the weather the travel between islands will either become faster or slower. The speed of your journey will be affected by sea conditions when you need to cross from one island to another. The sea conditions will affect your journey and return completely, from the start (your village) to the end (your target) and back to the start (your village) even when traveling over land. Journeys between islands will be faster or slower based on the sea conditions that they were started on, if the conditions change while your units are moving, they will not be affected by them.
